Estancia Los Platanos
This old farmhouse is home to a world of calm and serenity and is a wonderful site to unwind and connect with nature in this little-inhabited part of Uruguay.
Estancia Los Platanos has run in its family for over six generations and is host to a treasure of history which can be found in a small family museum. Tucked away in the rolling cattle country which characterises much of Uruguay’s vast and empty interior this small farm is a great place to relax and take in the bucolic countryside.
The guest house has just 2 en-suite guest rooms and a 2-bedroom suite, which adds to the intimacy of your time here. During your stay you will be able to share in the delights of their homemade, locally sourced dishes with the opportunity to pair this with Uruguayan wines. Horse riding, walking, bird-watching are all on offer from the the property.
