Hotel Melia San Carlos
Melia San Carlos is located in the centre of Cienfuegos, Cuba’s Pearl of the South.
Just a few minutes’ stroll from the central square, the Melia San Carlos, which was originally established in 1925, features contemporary furnishings and, unusually for this Caribbean island full of colour, the décor is mostly white, silver, chocolate and black. Some features from the original building remain, such as the ornate façade and layout of the lobby to which a bar and inner courtyard have been added. The restaurant, located on the top floor, serves a buffet breakfast and a la carte lunch and dinner options. The bright-white guest rooms are adorned with up-to-date bathrooms, air-conditioning, TV and Wi-Fi. Some of the rooms have views over the city. The San Carlos is the sister property of La Union, which is located a short walk away and whose facilities, including an outdoor pool, sauna and spa can be used by San Carlos guests. Treatments are available at extra cost.
