A stream trickles through the grounds and the surrounding jungle resounds with the calls of birds and monkeys.
Wood and stone cottages house guest rooms with spacious private bathrooms and patios and are linked by paths winding through the lush foliage. There’s also a restaurant and bar area and a free-form swimming pool fed by the river. It’s possible to walk to the ancient Mayan ruins of Palenque, which lie 4km away, or take public transportation.
