Advice for the first-time single traveller?

If you are a single traveller and it’s your first time to South America, doing a group tour is a good way of introducing yourself to the continent. You don’t have to worry about the logistics of where you will be staying or what to see and do as we arrange that all for you. Also if you don't speak Spanish/Portuguese, your bilingual tour leader will be on hand to help, so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy your trip!
In fact Journey Latin America’s founders started the company as tour leaders, so for 30 years we’ve had a strong basis in group tour travel and continue to operate “old favourites” as well as creating new itineraries for clients to get the best out of Latin America.
I would recommend one of our cross-continent journeys, which take in a variety of terrains and cultures. In particular I would opt for the Panorama of the Andes journey, which I’ve been on myself and absolutely loved. It includes the major sites such as Buenos Aires, La Paz, Cusco and Machu Picchu but also goes off the beaten track to areas such as Atacama Desert and my all-time-favourite place, the Bolivian Salt Flats. This is a bizarre and unique part of South America that few people visit due to it being so isolated but it is so worth it for the dramatic scenery!
