Buenos Aires to Patagonian Glaciers: A family holiday

Visit the trendy La Boca neighbourhood which is set to catch their eyes with its colourful buildings. Exploring another highlight of Buenos Aires, the Recoleta Cemetery, with its maze of extravagant tombs is a macabre adventure imbued with history. Make sure to watch a tango show during your stay in Buenos Aires, where the exotic dance was invented.

Argentinean Patagonia is an excellent destination for families looking for an action-packed holiday! As it covers almost a third of Argentina, choosing a single part to visit can be difficult, however Los Glaciares National Park has good tourist infrastructure, Andean peaks and giant glaciers. Hiking, horse riding and fishing are some of the many activities to excite the whole family. A trip to Los Glaciares is not complete without a trip to awe inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier. Stick to the walkways and viewing platforms for fantastic views or if you are travelling with older kids, a guided trek on the glacier is an unforgettable experience.

If you’d like to see some wildlife, Península Valdés is the place to go. Southern right whales congregate between July- December to mate and give birth, while Magellanic penguins congregate in large colonies. The beaches are filled with elephant seals, sea lions and fur seals.
