Our local partners
We work closely with the best local tour operators across Latin America, each of whom specialises in providing a range of services in one country or area. Our longstanding relationships with these carefully selected local partners, many of whom we've worked with for decades, allow us to have complete trust in the services they provide on the ground. If you're travelling on one of our Tailor-made Holidays or Private Journeys, they will be there to meet you at the airport, provide your transportation, take you on the excursions that you've booked with us and check you in at your hotels.
We are also highly selective when it comes to guides, ensuring that you get the most out of all the tours you take thanks to their insightful commentary. We and our local partners hand-pick the best available guides in each area: we look for an excellent level of spoken English, a friendly personality and in-depth specialist knowledge. We choose the guides best placed to show you around one specific sight or attraction, so usually you will have different guides on different days of the trip; however there will also be an overall representative to accompany you from place to place and keep everything running smoothly.
Group Tours
The ground service you'll receive on a group tour differs in that you'll be escorted from start to finish by one of our own award-winning tour leaders. They deal with all the practicalities, expertly adapting to the circumstances and individual needs of the group, as well as keeping you informed and entertained. At particular sites where we feel that specialist knowledge is beneficial, we've also found the top local guides who can enhance your experience alongside the tour leader.

No matter which type of holiday you choose, when you travel with us you can be sure of our support whenever you need it. For any minor issues that arise or questions you might have while you're on your trip, our local partner (or tour leader if you're on a group tour) is on hand to help. In the unlikely event that you require more urgent assistance, we will also provide you with our emergency 24-hour phone number. It's all part of our service, helping to give you peace of mind and make your trip as relaxing and stress-free as possible.
