Consumer and Financial Protection
Journey Latin America Ltd. (company registration no. 1474705).
We have been trading, and specialising in Latin America, for 40 years. Since the outset, the cornerstone of our approach has been that you, our clients, should feel comfortable about paying substantial sums of money for something which we will deliver sometime in the future. You need to know that we can be trusted, and that you have full financial protection under the Package Travel Regulations 2018.
When you book travel services with Journey Latin America, your money is protected.
A: If you are resident in UK
- When we book for you a full package, which includes flights, excursions and hotels you are covered by our ATOL licence.
- When you book just flights, you are covered by our ATOL licence.
- If you book a package holiday which includes no flights, you are covered by our ABTA bond.
- If you book other travel services, such as hotels or cruises or land transport, individually or together, you are covered by our ABTA bond.
B: If you are NOT resident in UK
- When we book for you a flight or a flight-package which starts from the UK, your booking is covered by our ATOL licence.
- In all other circumstances, travel services you book with us are protected by our ABTA bond
ABTA is the Association of British Travel Agents, who ask us to clearly display the following paragraph:
Book with Confidence

We are a member of ABTA (membership number V2522) which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and Code of Conduct. All the package holidays we sell are covered by a scheme protecting your money if the supplier fails. Other services such as flights on their own may not be protected and you should ask us what protection is available. Check our ABTA membership.
We’ve also been members since 1989 of AITO (membership number 5072), the Association of Independent Tour Operators whose strict membership criteria offer additional security, as well as their insisting on our commitment to high standards of service.
AITO Quality Statement

Journey Latin America Ltd. is a member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators. The Association represents Britain’s leading independent tour operators and encourages high standards of quality and service. Journey Latin America Ltd. abides by the Association’s Code of Business Practice and adheres to the AITO Quality Charter which can be viewed on www.aito.com. Visit the website to find out more about the Association or call 020 8744 9280.
And last, and by no means least, all our flight-inclusive holidays are protected by the CAA’s ATOL scheme.

ATOL stands for Air Travel Organiser’s Licence which is issued by the CAA every year after very close scrutiny of our accounts and trading patterns: we pay a protection levy to the CAA for every UK-based client we book, so that if we ourselves cease to trade your money is protected. (Journey Latin America’s ATOL number is 2828).
The CAA asks us to clearly display the following statement:
“All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. Please see our booking conditions for further information; or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLcertificate
In short, it’s our firm belief that everything you book with us should be protected. Wherever you are. Not just some things.
When you book travel services with Journey Latin America, your money is protected.
