Homely guesthouse in a pleasant colonial-style building with simple rooms and a peaceful garden patio.

Located in the tiny village of Altamira with its colourful, mural-adorned houses, Posada Caceres is a smart white building whose shuttered windows overlook a square shaded by huge mango trees. Although the guest rooms are quite basic, with plain décor, ventilator fan and mosquito net, the plants and antiques dotted around them lend a homely touch. There is an informal dining room and a peaceful garden patio where you can enjoy the cool of the evening in an armchair or hammock.
