Diego de Mazariegos
Traditional colonial-style hotel in an ideal location at the heart of town, with a beautiful courtyard and tastefully decorated rooms.
The attractive Diego de Mazariego hotel is just a block from the main square of San Cristóbal de las Casas and within easy reach of all its attractions. The centrepiece of the main colonial building is a sun-drenched courtyard with a tinkling fountain, wooden pillars and bright, richly coloured walls.
Rooms are tastefully decorated, with the largest ones boasting fireplaces and French windows opening onto a small garden. Other areas of the hotel have a more traditionally Mexican look and reflect the building's 18th century origins.
Facilities include two restaurants and a lively Tex-Mex bar with an extensive range of different types of tequila.
