Well-established and popular colonial hotel, offering excellent value and no shortage of charm – one of our all-time favourite budget options.

The Hotel Rosario is a popular and well-established colonial hotel near La Paz's indigenous markets, sights and restaurants. It’s a clean, quiet, well-decorated guesthouse with a pleasant jumble of flowery courtyards, always buzzing and lively with guests.

The small and neat guestrooms are cheerily decorated with bright textiles and furnishings. There are two restaurants and a more informal café, and the top floor has been converted into an internet café which also serves snacks and Mexican dishes. There’s also a well-respected travel agency on the ground floor, which can arrange any off-the-cuff tour or day trip you’d like to make.
