Sweet and simple hotel with a light, airy and uncluttered feel: a good choice on Santa Cruz island.

This whitewashed four-storey Villa Laguna hotel is just a few steps from the waterfront in Puerto Ayora, on Santa Cruz island. Santa Cruz is the second largest in the Galápagos, its misty south-eastern slopes covered in lush vegetation while its lowland coast is arid and studded with cacti. Owing to its proximity to the airport at Baltra, it is the most heavily populated island and the little town of Puerto Ayora is a hub for visitors.

The property has 19 guestrooms decorated in contemporary style: light and uncluttered with cool tiled floors, which suits the sultry climate. It's not luxurious, but is a good choice for those for whom reasonable comfort, professionalism and cleanliness are priorities. Rooms overlook a small courtyard and swimming pool area. The hotel also has its own restaurant.
