Heloise’s love for travelling started when she left school and set off to live in New Zealand before travelling around South East Asia. Following this, while studying International Business Management at university, she spent a year at Universidad de Chile which stemmed a long standing love for the continent. After graduating, Heloise started her career in marketing and knew that travel was going to be the industry for her.

During her studies in Chile she was fortunate to have plenty of time to travel through South America. While she prefers more rural adventures, Heloise’s favourite city is Rio de Janeiro with Buenos Aires coming a close second. Rio brims with vibrancy, colour, rhythm and joy that is unrivalled by anywhere else.

Favourite Place

It is hard to pick one specific location but there is definitely a place in my heart for Chile. Living there for a year gave me a whole different perspective of the country and a chance to discover so much more. The variety of landscapes and scenery coupled up with great people makes it the perfect place to be.

Favourite Excursion

The 5-day W trek to Torres Del Paine. This is less challenging than the alternative O circuit but still takes you to all the highlights of the National Park, including Mirador Las Torres and Grey Glacier. I love hiking and this was by far the most beautiful scenery I have ever walked through.

Top Travel Tip

The variety and brilliance of Latin America certainly makes you want to explore as many place as possible during your trip. Avoid this temptation and take your time, trying to focus on a specific country or region and you will get a lot more out of it.

Top Packing Tip

Don’t over-pack! This is something I so often do and wish I would learn from my mistakes. There are laundrettes available to wash and return your clothes on the day and this leaves space for exciting new things along the way.
