Recently placed in the top 5 guides in the world in the Wanderlust Reader Awards, Etienne’s fascination with Latin America began aged 22 when he dared to backpack from cosmopolitan New York to wild and sultry Buenos Aires. He now lives in Rio de Janeiro and has worked with us as a tour leader for over 30 adventure-filled years. Over this time he has accrued a vast network of contacts, boundless knowledge and fanciful anecdotes which you couldn’t find in a guide book. He thrives off the unexpected and meeting different people, while his favourite spots are the nature-filled Pantanal, the Andean highlands and the Guyanas.
